A Sip, A Swig, & A Swallow = A Drink:
Today I got a surprise phone call from my brother Tom asking me if I wanted to go with them to visit our cousin's house. I was excited. I needed a day out so I went. They had been trying to do a dinner at the cousin's house for quite some time, but between weather and other things, things just got in the way. At any rate, it was very enjoyable. On the way there one of the boys asked to share a drink of Tom's pop. He told them he could only have a swig, and that they'd be at the house in due time. Curious I asked Tom's definition of what a swig was. He said well, a sip is just enough to get your tongue wet, a swig is just enough to get your throat coated, and a swallow, well a swallow is just one good swallow. Then I asked him where the word drink comes into play, and he simply said "That comes in the beginning, they ask for a drink, then I tell them if they can have a sip, swig, or swallow." Thus we have the "Asking For A Drink Theory" How cute it that. So then we ended up to our cousin's house as planned and I was surprised to see Dad, and Jan, Aunt Cheryl, and Uncle Virgil, and even my cousin Danny was there. He is the best! He is so sweet and smiley and just happy to be around everyone! They have a magnificent home that is just breathtaking. Kyle and Jonette are wonderful cooks, hosts we sat down to a wonderful meal with every body's favorite pretzel salad, (Which by the way, I left without the recipe) funeral potatoes, ham, and rolls. It was a feast. Thanks for having us over. I regrettably lost some of my pictures from today's events so when I find them I'll post them here, but until then I hope your all having a great week.
