Do We Know How To Sew?

So, your asking if we know how to sew eh? Well, I don’t, I can tell you that much, however my friend Michael, and mother seem to be quite the experts at it.
Today I had my friend Michael over,it was super fun. First we went and
delivered soup over to some dear friends who have a cold and on the way back, I was able to take some really great pictures of trees, the catholic church, and some other pretty pictures that were taken from my new camera. He found some really good deals on some super nice pants. So I told him if he came over that we would help him hem his pants, (mainly mom, because I don’t sew.)
So we put the plan into action. When he got here he surprised me and mom by informing me that he, knew how to sew. He was very good and patient at counting legs and pants, measuring, and cutting, and even a little bit of sewing to boot. All of this while singing and dancing to the homemade jukebox. It was informed to me that my pictures might be a little on the annoying side and that the adventurous day wasn’t to increase my blogging ability, but I didn’t care, I figured that, that was my contribution.
Halfway through the late afternoon we had a terrible wind storm at 45 miles an hour of wind gusts. Then the notice on the TV came on telling that we have no more satellite, and that it was suggested that we call the technician. Ironically we happened to have a technician in our presence but he was busy hemming pants!!!!!!!!!!!
If any of you are wondering, yes, in the crazy weather, our friend, sewer, and technician did, in fact make it home safely. I’d have to say it was a great afternoon. Thanks for all the fun.

Christmas Day

I am sorry I haven't been able to write, it has been a terribly long time since I have taken time to write, what with my computer missing in action and all. You guys have missed out on a lot, but we'll jump over to Christmas hows that?
Christmas was a great day, I got all I ever could have asked for and more. It was the most wonderful Christmas. I got a new camera, some pots and pans, an Alaskan Teddy bear, and other way cool stuff, but the most important part of Christmas is that I got to see and hear the sparkle and light in others life’s as they enjoyed their Christmas gift. It truly was a great Christmas. Then mom, and I had company for Christmas dinner. It went really well for just being us girls, then my good friend came over and helped save the day as he helped cook Christmas dinner. Here are a few pictures of the tree from our house, and lights around town. By the way, our decorators of the tree did a wonderful job Its absolutely beautiful. Thanks to all of those who helped make this Christmas a wonderful, cherished memory.

Lets Get To Know Music Better:

So as I haven't come up with anything to write lately I came across an idea that might be kind of fun. Its hard to appreciate words to songs some days because for one, we all learn differently, and 2 sometimes the background music has a tendancy to make someone not like it. Some of us are best by reading it, some are best by reading and listening, and some are best at all of the above. Anyways, I thought that since music is just a sense of poetry that it would be fun to get to know and understand certain songs. So I'll try throughout the next while to pick songs, write the lyrics down, put them on my playlist, and share what I think they mean and how well I like the song. I think this could be fun. So join in and throw a comment in or two on how well you like the song or what you think it means. Heck, I might even throw in a song that I don't even have a clue to know the meaning, and just completely ask for your guy's opinion. Hope we can all have some fun with this, and for those who don't like the songs, maybe they can at least develop a greater appreciation for the message of the song of what the artist was trying to get at. Happy Days to everyone.

First song I'd like to bring to everybody's attention is by Five For Fighting's song, called, "100 Years"
I Think this song is amazing in my opinion it talks about life and how life itself is a great wish and gift because when time keeps escaping us and we only have 100 years to live so its totaly worth it to live each moment and not let it pass you by, otherwise it may seem like your chasing the years away. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give this song an 9, Just love the meaning and the feel it has to it.

On The Road:

Wow, It seems like I’ve let too much time pass to write anything on here. Here are some things that have been said in the last week… Where would you ever live if you wanted to? Are we there yet? Wow what a beautiful sunrise. What about this? What about that? Can we finally put on some music? (So then it was decided to sing without music) So what do you think you would do if this kind of thing happened to you? How much further do you think we have? Can we stop for a bathroom break? PLEASE!!
That’s right, if you haven’t guessed it, I have been on the road with my dad the last weekend. We headed up to see my sister and he also needed to deliver trees to the area. So from my house to my sister’s house it is about 4 hours. But when most of it is a flat drive it can seem a bit longer. But I did enjoy my time spent with dad, sometimes that is what those kind of adventures are about is just spending time with the ones you love the most and sharing stories, secrets, and motivators.
When arrived at my sister Sarah’s house it was great fun to see them. I played candy land with her kids and uno, and of course a bunch of fun stories, and just flat out had a blast with the enjoyment of Sarah’s company. It was great time.
(A little background for those of you who aren‘t aware my dad cuts gorgeous Christmas trees every fall, and sells them to distributors. It is a fun job for him and a bit of a hobby for him, but at the same rate, very tiring)
The next day I watched the kids while they delivered the trees. Then spent the rest of the day over at Super Saturday with my sister making crafts at the church and helping to put a cute baby to sleep. Did I mention I love kids.
So then Sunday morning Dad and I got on the road, and where I felt it was my continuous duty to keep him awake I spit out more of those crazy questions and ideas. About 7 hours later we ended up at his house and called it a weekend. Then 2 mornings later we got up and got back on the road for another delivery, Which 3 hours later leaves me to a quick visit with the cousins and then onto my mom’s house.

Wow, something about this time of year that makes you just want to hang out and be with your family next to a warm fire. Anyways, now that I’ve taken a break from my Christmas project I’m going to have to say goodbye for now. Hope everyone is well and happy. Have a great week.

Sitting On A Wire:

Wow, I’m on a roll!! I wrote this poem just to be fun. In fact, I think its my third poem for the week. A couple of months ago my mom suggested it would be fun if I wrote something about birds sitting on a wire. Her original suggestion was, I think just to take a couple of pictures of birds on a wire, and tell how I liked them. Well because in recent events my camera is failing me, the pictures weren’t taken by me. My poem is meant to be light hearted and funny. After I wrote this though, I realized in my way, it was meant to be comparable with something else in life as well. See if you can’t guess what I mean. If you can’t, that’s ok, its just meant to be light hearted and funny. The other was just an afterthought anyways. At the bottom of this home page there is a hilarious clip showing birds on a wire that I think you will break out laughing if you watch it, and also while reading this it might be fun to listen to the song. “Three Little Birds” from the play list.



SITTING ON A WIRE:

Man, look at those birds over there on that wire.
Sitting and balancing,
And having a conversation
with those, they admire.
They’d have to almost have an extreme desire,
Because You know, they must get tired,
My, how quiet they are,
I’d almost say, they’re almost about to conspire.
Why compared to you and me,
I’d say they’re way up higher.
Sitting up there on that wire.

Would they welcome a passerby to sing along and be apart of their choir?
Or would they tell them to leave, because,
That person is someone,
They didn’t admire.
Do you think they’d request,
That a person be dressed
In a well groomed attire.
Or just to stop by,
with their voice as their best?

How do you think this would seem to appear?
So many birds,
Gathered so near?
Why just look at how much they can see,
Of the great frontier.
Is there a chance they’d show,
the look of fear?
Do you think they’d need someone to interfere?

The Love Of A Father:
(Monday, November 3rd , 2008)

My father is a great man you see.
As he teamed up with our Father in heaven
And chose me.
So I sat on his knee,
And together we discussed
What great plan would work for him and me.


It was interesting as our Heavenly Father sat there with us,
He did warn us that it would be rough.
But we didn’t mind,
because we both knew that together,
through it all,
we’d be tough.
We stood ready to leave,
by giving out hugs.
While our Father bid us both good luck.



But then the Angels gathered around
to tell us they’d be there to guide us through.
For the trials, temptations, and tribulations they knew,
Would pass by us through and through.
They did tell us that if they ever saw us fall,
They would help pick us up,
and give us inspiration to start a new.


Now here we are, today on this earth,
Learning and growing, with great self-worth.
And Yes, it has taken a lot of great spiritual work.

But while in our chances to fall, and stray,
We’ve been picked up from the strength of those,
who promised to help lead the way.
Its hard when you’ve got a bumpy road,
But my father, even with a few faults of his own,
Has always been able to pick up the heavy loads.

Now some of you may be asking…
Yes, there, have been some parts of the road,
in this life that have been rough.
But my father, with help, picked me,

His Guiding Light:

I was reading the New Era today, and came across a quote that really struck me, and inspired me to make more of it. So I went to the "Drawing board" as they say, and went to work. This is what I came up with. (While reading this, please listen to "I Am A Child Of God") To give credit where credit is due, the picture is a wonderful illustration by Greg Olsen. I see a woman, who has had to overcome trials and tribulations, that have strengthened her faith.
I see a woman who listens to a prophet’s voice, and obeys as best as she can.
I see a woman, who is a loving Daughter, mother, and grandmother.
I see a woman, who radiates truth and light to all those that she is around.
I see a woman, who loves the sun, and warm weather, but who also lets the rain pass by.
I see a woman, who is full of extreme compassion, and consideration of those around her.
I see a woman who loves to teach great wisdom and knowledge to children, or anyone she is around.
I see a woman who enjoys sharing the good times, and yet teaches through the otherwise times.
I see a woman, who cares for those even when they have done her wrong.
I see a woman, who is kind hearted and warm.
I see a woman, who is a great and wonderfully talented in many ways as she is a sewer cook, caregiver, and all kinds of other talents.
I see a woman who has integrity.
I see a woman who is full of wisdom and understanding.
I see a woman, who, over the years has developed goals in her life, and accomplished them in due time.
I see a woman who likes to look at rainbows.
I see a woman who enjoys the simplicity of life.
I see a woman who loves to breath in the pure sweet air, and takes in everything around her.
I see a woman who, no doubt has seen it all and been through it all.

I see a woman whom I know I could spend hours upon hours, day by day, and even years writing all the good things I see about her because they are endless.
I have seen this woman through all my years, and have known this kind hearted woman to be my Grandmother, but also my mother, for her eyes shine through my grandmother’s eyes.

What Are You Doing Now:

One of my all time favorite movies is “Spaceballs”. Now grant it, this movie

isn’t for all people, my only intentions were to share with you a favorite quote of mine from the movie. I thought it was interesting that I was reminded of it because lately it seems like all anyone talks about is looking at now and towards the future, but more for now than anything else. I think this would have to be in my top list of humor.

Col Sanders- "Ya see see sir we're at now, now. Everything you see that's happening now is happening now.

Dark Helment: Well go back to then!

As Humorous as this is, Col. Sanders, the character, does have a point. Of course, nobody is perfect, but its always important to look to what your doing with your life “now”, before you get caught up into yesterday or tomorrow.

Some of my own created written thoughts are...

1.) "Why does everything seem to happen "now"?

3.) "ALERT ME WHEN ITS NOW"!!!

4.) "Hmm, I think I'll just keep it simple and just stick to the now".

Here Is What Happened Last Week:

Around Monday the 13th October I received a phone call. What were the end results of that phone call you ask? Well lets just say I was very nervous indeed. It was from one of the members in our Branch's Bishopric asking me if I would mind giving a talk in church on Sunday. Not really knowing what to say or how to react I said the first thing that came to mind. "Yes that would be fine", or something to that affect. Afterwards I realized what I gotten into. Then I thought, Why me, and is he sure he is talking to the right gal? Why now. After a while of searching answers of why and how of me, I finally decided I should start preparing. My talk was on forgiveness. It was a great experience I had all of that week to prepare for it. I tell you what. Not remembering how to do public speeches, I had to first go to www.lds.org and look up on how to prepare a talk, (crazy, I know), but I wanted this to be a GREAT talk, and I knew if it was going to be a great talk I had better study hard for it. Well after finally learning on how to prepare for a talk, I went and I must have read like 7 maybe even more talks on www.lds.org about 4 of those talks were to better help understand me on the topic of the atonement and forgiveness, and the other 3 I guess was to give me some ideas on how I could turn my talk into me. If you get my drift. That week was amazing stressful at some points, because I knew the topic upside down and inside out by this point, but had a hard time putting it together, and then I realized that it was all just kind of flowing together naturally on paper and I was done. Well then came the memorization and practice skills. I knew my talk, because, of course most of it was me, but I decided (Last minute of course!), that I needed some final touches to it. So I decided to, add the story/poem of The Touch Of The Master's Hand at the end. But I also told myself that a poem like this deserves to be recited from memory. So I spent about 3 hours that night, maybe even 4, watching the movie on www.youtube.com buying a couple of versions of the song from itunes (mainly so I could get a feel for voice inflection), and reading and re reading it. It was a great experience that I shall never forget. Call me crazy, but yes, if given the opportunity to speak again, I would definitely go for it. It gave my spirit a great boost. I haven't had made up my mind, but I thought it might be nice to post my talk up, because after all others do it. But I'm still not sure at this point what I should do though, but here is the poem that I recited. Sorry, I couldn't find the right version of the song that I recited from but this song I believe is the version that went with the movie that I watched. I hope your all enjoying your week.

My Talk I Gave On Forgiveness/The Atonement:

BEING FORGIVEN: (This talk was given on Sunday, October 19, 2008)

What if we all had the chance to be forgiven? What is it like to be forgiven? What an honor that would be.
Well it is a tremendous honor to be forgiven, and it is entirely possible through the help and strength of the Lord.



While on my way to my Grandma’s house a couple years back, I had the misfortune of hitting a deer, crazy how it happened, the deer just kind nicked the edge of the car, and shot across the road, anyways, after being a little shook up from that I got to Grandma’s house that night, and after telling her my story of hitting the deer, she simply looked at me and asked… Did you stop the car, walk over to the deer, and apologize?
The reality of sin is when you distance yourself from the Lord. The Lord created the Atonement for us so that we could be forgiven of our sins, repent and “Be of One” Or as self evident, meaning, at one ment.
It is so great to have someone so self giving that he gave his life in such a matter, that he knew it would help bring us eternal life and happiness, even in our shortcomings. It may not seem like it, but the Lord, because of his selfless act , knows our pain, and through his strength can help us.
Along with his sacrifice, the Lord created Repentance, which would allow us to wash away all sorrow, and sin, and become one with him.
To paraphrase what Spencer W. Kimball said…. The essential elements to repentance are…
1) Feeling sorrowful of your sins. = You must understand what you’ve done is wrong first, to feel remorse for your sin.

2) Abandonment of Sin.= In order to carry out the rest of the steps, it is important that you try not to repeat your wrongs.
3) Confession Of Sin.= First confess your sins to the Lord. If they are more serious then that is the time to confess to the Bishop or Stake Presidency.
4) Restitution Of Sin.= You have to fix what you did wrong to show Heavenly Father that you truly care.
5) Obedience To All Commandments.= Full obedience brings the complete power of the Gospel into your life, with strength to focus on the abandonment of specific sins. It includes the things you might not initially consider part of repentance. Such as attending meetings, paying tithing, giving service, and forgiving others. The Lord said “He that repents and does the commandments of the Lord shall be forgiven.”
And last but not least. Recognition Of The Savior, because through him, Repentance was possible.


“The next time Satan reminds you of your past. Remind him of his future.”
The most used weapon to thinking your not forgiven is your past, Satan will try everyway possible to bring this against you, but you’ve already done your part, so there is no need to accept Satan’s words of discouragement.
So now that we’ve gotten past all the hard stuff. Now comes the best part of it all. Rewards. Now I don’t know about you guys, but I tend to like rewards myself.
The particular reward that I’m referring to this time is The feeling of peace, and a deeper love for the Savior.
The Savior said.
“But learn that he who doeth the works of righteousness shall receive his reward, even peace in this world, and eternal life in the world to come.”
The Lord also said,
Mathew. 11: 28-30
“Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Brothers and sisters, it can be a long road through the process of repentance, but such as Heavenly Father went through long suffering for us, he is only asking us to do little compared to what he did. I am only a little more than halfway there myself, but I can tell you that I know and believe this to be true, I believe if we do what we are asked to do in this life, when choices in life need to be corrected, we correct them. I believe that he will and has done his part to help us understand the rest.
My favorite
scripture is Alma 26:12
Yea, I know that I am nothing. As to my strength, I am weak; Therefore, I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever.
I like this scripture because even with as much as the Lord was perfect in his obedience to God, He still does understands us.
In part to close, I would like to share with you a favorite poem of mine…

A Widget, A Gadget:

A Widget, A Gadget. A tiskit a tasket. A green and yellow basket. (hehehe!!! Ever heard of that nursery rhyme)?
So as its becoming more entertaining around here. Just some things I thought you should know.
So to start off, Gordon B. Hinkley's 6's B's well there are actually a few more than that, but that was the highlights of a great talk from our previous Prophet of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. I also did a talk as well, based from that in Seminary Graduation.
Next is the playlist. I find that is just for entertainment, and some of the songs on there go with some of the things that i've written about in the blog.
As for the quote.. Live, Laugh, Love. I just really like that quote, and thought I'd add it in.
Did I tell you I adopted a duck? Ok, did I tell you I "virtually" adopted a duck? Of course I know I can't have animals in my place. HaHaHaHa!!! I thought this would be fun. His name is Ducky, and he would appreciate it if you helped take him for walks, by moving the mouse in and around the box. Also, i'm sure he would appreciate it if he was given food every once in awhile so at the bottom right hand corner of the box there is a sign that says more, when you click on that bread and peanuts will pop up. Then you simply drag that to the ducks mouth. Also one more thing on the duck. Just between you and me, You can indeed make him quack by clicking on his feathers.
As far as the quote, "I AM A CHILD OF GOD." Well thats just who I am. Thats who we all are. So I decided to add it as well. :)
Ok, Do you remember when you were a kid? Well I do, and I can sort of remember the Etch A Sketch. How cool is that? I was super excited when I came across it in a widget search. All You have to do in order to navigate it is click on the white round buttons and twirl the buttons around to navigate it with your mouse. Also, if you, when your done drawing and you click on analyze in the middle of the buttons. I think it sort of gives you a personality assessment based on how you did, and what you drew. Pretty cool.

Well, They called me today, and i've decided to stick around. I just feel as though its a good idea for me to stick around where i'm at. I love it where I am at now, and am setteled where I feel I should be for right now. I'm staying put. Yay.

Well guys I hope you guys had fun, and did well. I sure enjoyed it this session, Anyways, you’ll have to let me know how you did. You can either write your answers on a piece of paper, and wait until I post the answers up. Yes of course I know the answers to my own questions, ha!ha!ha! I’m just going to wait a week or so before I post them so you can see how you did. Or write them to me in the comments. I didn’t know how else to go about this, but I did think it would be kind of fun. I’m sorry if the quotes and such in quiz aren’t word for word. I did my best to at least get the general out of it.

I can’t begin to explain what I felt at these meetings, well, I felt peace, encouraged, happy, and much, much more. Crazy Idea, and Yet It Just Might Work:

I finally found the story out behind this crazy door in the middle of the yard. I've been where I'm at now for a little over a year. and one time I drove by it and thought it was way funny.

So all this time of asking old timers of the area that I thought would know... Well, they didn't know. So today I made a couple of calls and got the truth behind it. Its actually rather funny, yet interesting.

The house was kind of set back so you couldn't see the entrance of the door. Yeah, if I had the choice I'd want my privacy too. Well the only complicated thing was that they always had packages shipped to them through UPS (not the post office, yes UPS).

UPS, wouldn't deliver to them unless they had a visible address on their door. So being funny, these guys decided that they would stick another door out in the middle of their yard, paint it "bright blue" and paint the address over it. Now, of course, UPS always sees them and gets what they need to them.

Now would you call this sarcasm, protesting, or just a great sense of humor. I think it could be all of the above. What do you think?

Drivin' Around

Today was a GREAT DAY!! I woke up fairly early. Waited for a little while and went over to my neighbor’s house. She just found out she has to be put on oxygen, so things are kind of rough on her right now. She’s pulling through like a champ though. I invited her to get out of the house and go for a pretty drive through our area in the canyon. She agreed. I went, waited with her and brushed up on some skills in learning how her oxygen tanks work, and we headed off. It was great!!!
I know I’ve said this plenty of times, but I just love Fall. it’s a great time of the year. The colors are great! Very warm and inviting.
We spent about an hour or two on the drive, taking pictures, and just taking in all of what life has to offer. She also told some of her memories, while living in the area. Afterwards, we drove over and had a nice visit with her daughter, and then went out for dinner. Just another great day to be out and about.

Over the river and through the woods:

Well, yesterday I decided to take another drive. I've decided that Fall is my favorite season. The colors are just so beautiful and its amazing how rapidly they can change. I started out that day not really know where I was going to go, and I actually ended up at My Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was very fun. I haven't seen them in such a long time. It was good to see them and catch up on lost time. Although the catching up had to be during commercial breaks of the football game. They were rooting and hoping that the Griz team would win. Hahaha. I didn't realize there was a game on yesterday, but it was still fun to see them. Grandma was so cute yesterday. She told me that the only way the Griz would win is if she stayed and rooted for them to win. She also told me that the only thing she understands well when it comes to the game is that when they cross the line at the end of the field its a touchdown, which means another point. Don't worry grandma, that's what I think that, that is what most of us gals understand about the game.

After my fun visit with my grandparents, I came back home, and got ready to go to a church meeting. It was a very nice meeting and very inspirational. I'm glad I went to it. Then I ended the day with a nice walk.

Overall, I would say the day was a great day to be out.

Well guys, I finally got the phone call. The call, I thought i've been waiting for, for almost a year. Thats right if you guessed you probably guessed right. Its my turn once again to decide on weather or not I want to move. I know opportunities would be more well offered, but there are so many pro's and con's to weigh out. Plus I have only been given a few days to decide. I love my peace here, but where there is peace, i've found that there aren't so much for oppurtunities. Life, I guess is give and take. Still deciding.

Wonders Of Life:

The other day we went for a beautiful drive down through the valley. There were so many beautiful things to look at, and enjoy. From the beautiful fall colors that are starting to perk up to the, very, deep green grass, and the miraculous mountains.
Imagine if the world had no dimension or color to it. Where would we be? How would we act? What would we do?
A lot of people, including myself, I don’t think, stop to appreciate all the beautiful things life has to offer. Please, stop and take a minute to think about what it would look like. In my mind, I can see, that if it were not dimensional, and didn’t have any color to it, I think it would be black, almost in comparison as to what space would be like. I don’t think I could ever imagine living in a “black hole”. To be truthful I think I would loose it and go crazy.
The world we live in is so beautiful. Each season has it’s own beautiful colors. From the distinguishable Fall colors, to the snowy covered, in white, Winter colors, from Spring, right down to the sunny gorgeous colors that the Summer brings.
Having color is a beneficial factor in helping the imaginative mind strengthen. On our beautiful drive through the valley, I saw beautiful homes. Enormous mountains that looked like they reached the sky. The air smelled crisp. The warm, to bright fall colors filled my senses with love and appreciation for the beauty of what life has to offer.
It simply amazes me, the amount of imagination our Lord has to offer us.

Today we went to the dog pound. These dogs were so sad, cute and adorable. All they wanted was for someone to love and take care of them. They don't have control over what happens to them. True, they're independent, for the most part, but if they aren't taken care of, look how sad they get.
There are things, as a society that we can do to prevent the over population of "sad puppies". I absolutely love puppies, but, because I'm not settled, and in my own house, I don't think its fair to me, or a dog to take it home, knowing that it could end up sad, a stray, or in the dog pound. One dog we looked at, looked so sad, yet so adorable, I tried to take a picture of him, and every time he saw my camera up, he cowered and lowered his head down, and just looked really sad. That also saddens me, because it seems that in order to cower down so much like he did, he had to of been mistreated somewhere along the lines. Hopefully he'll get to go to a fun, loving family. Another dog I saw, I actually wanted to take out and play. He looked like he just had so much energy. We took him out side and I tell you, it looked like he ran 20 miles an hour. He was so excited to be outside.
One other thing I believe in, is if you do have a dog, and you don't want puppies, or the responsibilities to take care of puppies other than your own, than don't be indecisive about it and stall, make a decision, and stick to it. These puppies, and dogs, are just way to cute to be so lazy about it. So please lets prevent it, and unless your breeding, or you just want a dog farm, get your dogs spayed and neutered. We just had so much fun playing with these dogs.

Crazy moment:

Today was fun. Kind of crazy, but fun. Today my friend came over and I was taking pictures of her baby, and bless her heart, all her baby wanted to do was play, play, and play. She was quite the sport, for awhile, and then got camera shy. So Hilary I started goofing off with the camera and took some weird pictures. This is what we came up with. Pretty goofy huh?

Total, Dinner Pleaser:

The other day I was watching TV, and came across what looked like a great recipe. This recipe is super easy, and a total dinner pleas er. (I eyeballed things, so the recipe is pretty much to taste)

Prep Time about 10 min.

Cook Time 35 min.

Yeilds 4 to 6 servings

Cheesy Baked Tortellini:

A package of frozen or fresh Tortellini pasta

Your favorite jar of cheesy Alfredo sauce (average size about 1lb)

4 oz of creme cheese softened

1 half large onion, or a whole small onion (chopped)

One can of mushrooms or a cup of fresh mushrooms

About a TBS of garlic salt
About 2 TBS of pepper

Meuntzer cheese (about 5 to 7 slices)

Parmesan cheese to taste

Directions. Take, the tortellini pasta and boil them. They will be done when they rise to the top of the pan. While they are at a boil, put your jar of Alfredo sauce in a seperate bowl, mix in your chopped onion, and mushrooms. Microwave creme cheese for about 30 seconds, and fold that into your sauce. Add pepper and garlic in. Get a 8 by 8 by 2 inch baking pan, and put it in there. Layer the top with Meuntzer cheese, and sprinkle Parmesan cheese over that. Also sprinkle some more pepper over the top for added flavor and color. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 30 min.

Options: For garnish you can add tomatoes to the side, or you can even put a few on top while you bake it. You can also replace the Alfredo sauce with your favorite marinara sauce if you prefer.

Funny moment

This week while I have been at my mom's house visiting, I realized I left my face cleanser at home. So my friend let me use a little bit of hers. I found a little sauce bowl and put it in there, and left it on the kitchen counter. I know, bad place I guess. When mom came home that night, she got some salsa out of the fridge, and took the bowl, and poured the salsa in there, and started to eat it. I was on the phone and didn't notice her, otherwise I would've said something. It was very comical, she said it taisted nasty. Her reaction was priceless. Sorry mom. Maby it was just time to wash your mouth out with soap.

Home is where the heart is:

Saturday, I met up with mom, and we went up to the Parade of Homes. It was amazing. They had some BEAUTIFUL homes. Altogether we looked at 10 homes. The one that I really fell in love with, was one that was built by: www.mostadconstruction.com. The house was called The River Pines. This house had 6300 square feet. It was very well thought out, with a lot of immaculate detail to it. The architectural design was beautiful, both exterior and the interior design.

My second favorite was a house called: The Hillcrest, built by Crawford Construction Inc. This house was also BEAUTIFUL. I loved this house because it was obviously more expensive that I could ever dream of, but the house was all one floor, and it was huge. It has 4,884 square feet to it. I will tell you, that in a house like that I think I could get lost quite a few times. Details were also amazing in this house. The bathroom alone was amazing.

I think it was definitely the same size as my bedroom and bathroom put together.

It had a big Jacuzzi style bathtub, with four beams around it. Being in it would make you feel like you were a goddess.
There were homes we saw that day that had an elevator in it, and balconies with every room.

I think you get the idea. We had a great time that day. I think the best part of the day, was knowing that we have our own great houses to come home to. They may not be million dollar homes to the public, but to the heart they are great for us.

A little bit of everything:

This summer was fun. A little bit of everything happened. From the great family reunion we had, here in my home town. Where funny, hilarious, stories were told, to going to my brother's house for the baby blessing. Hanging out with mom, and grandma. Going to Yellowstone. Buying a new computer, going to see my brother's band, and hanging out with friends. Really I'd have to say the best part of the whole summer was just being able to spend my time with the people I love the most. So I guess you could say the whole summer was awesome. Thanks for taking a minute to look at the world through my eyes. Its pretty cool huh?

Hiccups

Hiccups are very annoying. There are old sayings such as, Hold your breath in. Drink a glass of water upside down, or sugar water. Or as i've recently been told, have someone scare them out of you.
I was on an interesting site at http://www.didyouknow.cd/fastfacts/body.htm and found out the true cure for hiccups, and why its supposed to help you.

Hiccups happen when the diaphragm, the muscle that controls our breathing, becomes irritated and start to spasm and contract uncontrollably. With each contraction, air is pulled into the lungs very quickly, passes through the voice box, and then the epiglottis closes behind the rush of air, shaking the vocal chords, causing the "hic" sound. The irritation can be caused by rapid eating, emotional stress and even some diseases. The best cure? Breathing into a paper bag. This calms the diaphragm by increasing the amount of carbon dioxide in your bloodstream.
I haven't tried this yet, but want to try it and see if it actually works. Hope this helps.

Jenny's Lake

I bet you never thought there was a lake named after me, did you? Well your not the only one, I was surprised too. During our trip this summer in Yellow stone, we went and saw Jenny's Lake. Pretty cool. Didn't get a picture of the lake, but it is beautiful. There is even a trail that kind of follows around the lake.
