Friends:

Well this has just been way too much fun. Friday my friend and I and her kids drove up this really pretty mountain and had a blast. It was amazing. Skies were beautifuly clear with just the right clouds to blend in. It was just simply gorgeous. We found lots of fun spots that day. Pretty wild flowers and everything. Defiinately a trip to remember. We even had a little picnic. In fact the little two year old when we were out I was afraid that he might cross the road and find the edge of the mountain so everytime it looked like he wanted to wander I said. "T" Can you be my friend and hold my hand and help me find a spot for our picnic. He would respond with. Your friend, and hold my hand to walk with me. Keep in mind this little guy for starters is a cutie, and second he is just learning to talk in the last couple of months. So his voice was so soft, gentle and slurred. It was so cute. Then everytime after that I would say "T" Will you be my friend and hold my hand. He'd relpy again in his gentle voice. "Friends" and hold my hand while we walked through the woods. It has been so much fun to see these guys grow up. I love them all dearly. I've known them for 2 years now, and you might consider I am their adopted aunt by now. :) It was fun. So because friends was the highlight of the day, at the end when they came up to the house to visit for a little bit and got ready to leave. I thanked the little guy and his older brother for being so good and being my "friend" today and he replied with. "We're friends" and gave me a huge hug. I can't tell you how deeply that day touched my heart. It is so great that even a two year old can understand the meaning of friendship and kindness. Their family has been so great and touched my heart so many times. Even just in seeing their smiles whenever I see them as I know they are happy to see me. I am blessed to be able to have such true and wonderful friends in my life who share the same eternal goals in their life. It makes growing a lot easier. Here are some pictures of our wonderful day together. Happy days to all. :)
