After Wyatt and I got back to the ranch Riley looked like he was on his way to feed cattle. so I asked if I could join him and his Grandma Mickey who is oh so sweet. I joined with, and with a little know how on how to work the stick shift from Grandma Mickey and RILEY, I decided I'd be super brave enough to drive the old stick shift so Riley could feed cattle. (By the way, I'm just a little bit afraid of driving the stickshift, but just to prove it that is me in the window behind the wheel. YEAH!!!!) While we were driving we saw some really cool bald eagles up in the tall tall trees so

I really wanted some pictures and we decided that since grandma needed to go back to the house to do some other things that Riley and I would take the Rhino back through the fields to see if we couldn't spot a couple of cows that were missing. (For those of you who aren't familiar with what a Rhino is, it is basica
lly like a golf cart but built tough for the farming world. HE! HE! HE! Good comparison eh?) We came back and had a blast looking for the lost cows, and for the eagles and trying to get some good pictures. I got some GREAT PICTURES of them too. Then as we got to kind of the end of the property line we saw a buck. Riley got out to examine it and it was a dead long gone buck. It's head was still kind of there but other than that it was just bones. Anyways, I got a picture of Riley with the buck then we decided to take him home with us. All was good, we stopped for quite some time and looked at the eagles in the trees and took pictures and finally we were ready to leave when we realized that it was quiet. Oh nooooooo. We'd left the Rhino running while we were taking pictures for too long I guess and it ran out of gas. So we ended up walking home clear from almost the end of the property line. But it was still so much fun. The whole day was a blast. Yes, if your wondering even though we ended up walking, Riley still insisted on carrying the buck home with us. He is a funny, but great kid. All of those kids are just wonderful. I was glad I got to spoil and have fun with them. Thanks for the fun time Riley. I really enjoyed my time with you. Happy days to everyone.
Wow, today was just an exciting fun filled day. In fact it was so packed full of fun stuff, I felt I needed to put it into two separate posts for everyone. Well the first part was awesome!!!!!!! I got to spend some time spoiling my nephew Wyatt. It was great!!! First we went to a friend's house and delivered some gifts, and then we tried to go on the bumpy road behind grandma's house, but because Wyatt's auntie is a bit of a chicken and didn't want to drive on a snowy back road, and risk the chance of getting stuck, so we decided it would be a good idea to find another adventurous road, and that we did. I remembered a spot with a couple of really cool old buildings. One was a very very old house about to fall down, and the other was a cool looking barn. I also think the view off of that road is just fabulous!!!!!! So Wyatt and I took pictures, and then decided it was time for a milkshake, so we went downtown and had us a milkshake and just hung out. Afterwards we went to his house. He hung out with his sister and her friend and I went and helped out his other brother Riley feed cattle. Which brings me to another post for part two of my exciting day. To be continued. hehehe!!! Very shortly anyways. Thanks so much for the fun time Wyatt, I really enjoyed our time together. Oh yeah, the picture of the sunset was just an extra bonus for everyone I took from the night before.
So today was just a normal day, started out the same, did laundry, and then I decided to go for a drive. For Christmas I got a really nice camera from my mom. So I got my camera and took a whole bunch of pictures on it. The snow is starting to melt and its looking really quite beautiful outside. It was reall fun and actually made for a nice calming day. Then afterwards went to dinner with my neighbor and enjoyed her company. Now, I'm having fun blogging and then I'm gonna watch Bill Cosby. Yep it's been a great day today. Hope you enjoy my drive as much as I did. This is why I love where I live. Thats right, "My Home Is In Montana" (I don't care what they say, I don't where a bandana though) he!he! Happy days to everone.By way, the bird in this first picture was a complete accident, didn't even realize it was there when I took it, otherwise I would've had my zoom in a little better. :)
Today I got a surprise phone call from my brother Tom asking me if I wanted to go with them to visit our cousin's house. I was excited. I needed a day out so I went. They had been trying to do a dinner at the cousin's house for quite some time, but between weather and other things, things just got in the way. At any rate, it was very enjoyable. On the way there one of the boys asked to share a drink of Tom's pop. He told them he could only have a swig, and that they'd be at the house in due time. Curious I asked Tom's definition of what a swig was. He said well, a sip is just enough to get your tongue wet, a swig is just enough to get your throat coated, and a swallow, well a swallow is just one good swallow. Then I asked him where the word drink comes into play, and he simply said "That comes in the beginning, they ask for a drink, then I tell them if they can have a sip, swig, or swallow." Thus we have the "Asking For A Drink Theory" How cute it that. So then we ended up to our cousin's house as planned and I was surprised to see Dad, and Jan, Aunt Cheryl, and Uncle Virgil, and even my cousin Danny was there. He is the best! He is so sweet and smiley and just happy to be around everyone! They have a magnificent home that is just breathtaking. Kyle and Jonette are wonderful cooks, hosts we sat down to a wonderful meal with every body's favorite pretzel salad, (Which by the way, I left without the recipe) funeral potatoes, ham, and rolls. It was a feast. Thanks for having us over. I regrettably lost some of my pictures from today's events so when I find them I'll post them here, but until then I hope your all having a great week.
Today I went to my brother Tom's house. I was on a mission to bring him some apple bread that I made the previous night, and while I was there I decided to stay a little bit and visit. I enjoyed my time there. He told me about the horse that he was riding. He has been on a horse ever since he was a kid, and in fact for a living he does an excellent job of training horses and team ropes as well. The horse he was riding is a 2 year old colt in training. His name is Buster. He seems like a real supreme horse.
